Christina Haack was born in Anaheim California in the 9th July 1983. Her first job was in the real estate industry. This is where she first met Tarek El-Moussa, who was to become her husband. Following the 2008 collapse of the stock market, many investors in real estate as well as home flippers were unable to make their profits. As a result of the market crash, Tarek and Christina El Moussa were close to losing all their assets. They moved from a costly home, where they paid $6,000 a month, and moved to a small home that cost just $700. The economy as well as their business slowly recovered. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek, in 2011, solicited a friend to assist him by creating an HGTV tape that showed Christina and him navigating an entire home from beginning to the end. Pie Town Productions' executives were able to access the tape. They loved Tarek and Christina. In 2012 the couple signed a formal agreement with HGTV. Flip of Flop premiered April 2013, The series aired 92 episodes between 2013 between 2013 and 2017. Christina and Tarek were shown buying houses, usually situated in Orange County. After spending several weeks on upgrades, they would flip them in order to earn a profit. Tarek takes care of the demolition, remodeling and design. Christina keeps everything running on schedule.

They would spend weeks upgrading the houses in order to make them for profits. Tarek's main focus is demolition and renovating, whereas Christina is focused on designing.
